Technical Requirements for McGee Productions
Randel McGee & Groark (Every show)
What I bring:
My Puppet:
I use only one dragon puppet/ventriloquist partner for the whole act. The illusion is that it looks as if I am holding the dragon in my right arm. I use no puppet stage.
My Equipment:
A folding stool about 3 feet high, a folding guitar stand, an acoustic guitar, and when needed, a folding, collapsible prop table, and backdrop curtain.
What I need from the venue:
Stage:
My preferred performing space is at least an 8 foot cube of space ( 8”x8”x8”) on a raised stage or platform. I can perform in front of the proscenium curtain.
Lighting:
I prefer general stage lighting on the area where I perform. I prefer the house lights to be up enough for me to see most of the audience.
Sound:
I prefer a wireless, clip-on lapel microphone with a monitor system so that I can hear myself. A CD player that connects with the main sound system controlled by a sound technician.
Storytelling Performances with H.C. Andersen, Story Santa, or Randel McGee (solo)
What I bring:
Props:
I bring my own scissors and papers for the paper-cutting demonstrations. Any other table covers, drapes, props and instruments that I need for the show.
