This is a baby owl paper sculpture I created for a friends owl collection. It is made from one piece of paper cut and folded and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The only other paper used was for the eyes.

For my wife Marsha’s birthday I created this pop-up bear character as she collects teddy bears.

I often have “paper epiphanies” where designs seem to appear in my mind’s eye, showing their development until they are in full bloom.
This hummingbird pop-up design is one of those epiphanies where I saw how it was made and would look all in my mind.
If you look closely at the background you may notice that the hummingbird was cut from the single sheet of paper and then folded into a 3 dimensional shape. The flowers also rise off the paper.

Silhouettes
Randel is quite an accomplished silhouette portraitist. He cuts silhouettes from life or from clear profile photos. Silhouettes are set in a simple 5 X 7 inch oval matte. Cost of silhouette and matte are $15 plus S&H.
He can add a beloved pet’s profile or favorite hobby item for another $10 plus S&H.
